Office of the President

A one-of-a-kind university.

Rev. Daniel Hendrickson, S.J., President

Welcome to Creighton University. A Jesuit, Catholic university, Creighton was founded in 1878 by a courageous, faith-filled, entrepreneurial and service-minded family. The members of the Creighton family put God first and valued education, community and helping others as they pushed the limits of their society to accomplish more than the status quo.

To this day, that spirit and those values are what drive Creighton University: faith in God; dedication to academic excellence, innovative research and community engagement; and commitment to making a difference locally, nationally and globally.

You will find that Creighton is an active and welcoming community of students, faculty, staff and Jesuits. While we offer an academically rigorous education in arts and sciences, business, health professions and law, we are emphatically dedicated to the spiritual, personal and professional growth of each member of the Creighton community.

I first came to love Creighton as a student, then as a faculty member and later as a member of the Board of Trustees. Today, as president, I invite you to learn more about this one-of-a-kind university and discover the opportunities for growth it offers.

Daniel Hendrickson, S.J., Ph.D.
